Trend Micro recently launched SafeSync, a cloud-based storage solution (think Apple’s iCloud or Amazon’s cloud drive – but loads better).
Their route to market for this involves, as one approach, talking to existing Trend Micro security customers and promoting the benefits of the product to them (as well as offering a free trial).
We were asked to develop an email campaign that would stand out from the typically straight communications experienced in the B2B environment. The main focus of this was to be the eye-catching SafeSync for business video.
A sequence of emails was created in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. We uploaded these to Trend Micro’s email dispatch system and configured the data to target a range of customers.
Response to these emails was extremely good. We A/B tested a few different creative routes and messages to fine tune this. Overall the response rates were above what we would normally expect for this audience.
